ROCKY

On October 13th, DJ Rocky had the incredible opportunity to open for Knock2 at the Orlando Warehouse. Rocky shared that she was moved to tears when she learned she would be opening for one of her favorite DJs.

For her Orlando Warehouse debut, Rocky prepared a tech house set. Despite being known as a bass house DJ, she carefully curated a more chill set to serve as the opener, setting the stage for Knock2's big bass performance. While Rocky regularly performs all over Orlando, gracing venues like The Vanguard, she has recently ventured into opening for prominent artists and adopting a performance-oriented style rather than just playing in clubs. She mentioned, "I definitely have to be a lot more careful choosing which songs to play when opening. I can't be too hype, unlike my usual energetic sets."

Rocky expressed her gratitude for the entire team, emphasizing how fun and easy they were to work with. Despite her nervousness about meeting Knock2, she said he was incredibly kind, thanking her for sharing the stage with him.

Looking back on her experience, she said, "It was really cool to be on a 360 stage; it was my first time doing that. I went to soundcheck, saw the stage, met Knock2, and was so excited to play my set." Rocky was touched by the crowd's response; people chanted her name and sent messages praising her performance even though her name wasn't on the screen. The experience left her with a special feeling, knowing they were there to watch her and thoroughly enjoyed her set.

Rocky has come so far in her DJ career, and we are incredibly amped to see what comes next. If you find yourself in Orlando, make sure to catch one of her performances for a musical experience you won't forget!
